As Women at the Well
     we will draw deeply from the well of God’s compassion
          so that we will be led to give . . .

     the water of generosity to a world parched by greed;
     the water of selflessness to a world parched by jealousy;
     the water of humility to a world parched by pride;
     the water of kindness to a world parched by anger;

As Women at the Well
     we will draw deeply from the well of God’s compassion
          so that we will be led to give . . .

     the water of calmness to a world parched by peer pressure;
     the water of moderation to a world parched by over indulgence;
     the water of gentleness to a world parched by power and violence;

As Women at the Well
     we will draw deeply from the well of God’s compassion
          so that we will joyfully witness . . .

     that all life comes from God;
     that all life belongs to God;
     that all life is meant to return to God;

As Women at the Well
     we will draw deeply from the well of God’s compassion
          so that we will unite . . .

     the choices we make each day with the will of God;
     the choices we make through
          our prayer,
          our work,
          and our service to one another;

     with the will of God and there we find our true freedom.
